I came back with an unexpected 1.83 creatinine & my phosphorus is 5.3 while the top normal level is 4.5. But my urinalysis is perfect. Anyone have a higher phosphorus or potassium level with a normal creatinine level?

  • My cr is above normal, my K is usually at the very low end of normal, P is right in the middle of normal, and my BUN is always high.

I think that each transplant has and develops it's own little ideosyncracies

    • How high is your Creatinine, BUN, & phosphorus? But you're still able to keep your kidney for the long term? How long has it been this way?
      • My creatinine has never been normal and I've just had my 15th anniversary (tx from my cousin on her birthday early October 2002). It has ranged from 1.5 to 2.5 and I'm pretty steady (as much as I can be) at around 1.6 - 1.8. My BUN is really high as I've been eating a bit more lean protein (3 or 4 times normal?) Phosphorus is dead in the middle usually (forget the numbers) and my potassium is usually around 3.5 or 3.6. I am on lasix though, so that may keep the K down somewhat.
