  • Hi Carole

I am sorry but I never heard of this diagnois before.  The only thing I would suggest to you would be to try and enhance the quality of life that you currently have by continuing good nutrtion- getting rest and exercising when you can..

    Wishing you well

  • Hi Carole

Can you explain how this affects someone?

    • Rise,Glad too. i had a double lung transplant in May 2011.  In February 2013 my TP team told me that I may be headed towards chronic lung rejection.  I saw them again this past week, and they said it did not seem to be chronic lung rejection, but rather Chronic Lung Allograft Dysfunction, otherwise known as "CLAD".  The physician explained that it is like rejection, but does not meet the criteria used to define chronic lung rejection. He told me a bit more, and I of course have been scouring the web, and have found that it seems very much like chronic lung rejection - not a whole lot of treatment options, and an unknown progression.  Lots of unknowns scares me, and I was looking to this web group to see if anyone else had any knowledge or experience with CLAD.

      Thanks,

      Carole
