Share how your transplant experience changed your life?

I've been on the waitlist previously but was able to get off due to some improvement in my kidney function. Most recently I've had decreased kidney function again, and have completed the work up appointments/ tests. It's been time-consuming and preemptive to avoid dialysis. It's understandably stressful.

  • Hi Heather, Thanks for your comment on my profile. Here is much information which can be very helpful. You are welcome to contact me if you require any information on my liver transplant..

  • Hi Heather, I had my liver transplant in April 2015 and I am enjoying great health now. I had some issues at the beginning but for the last year it is going fine.

  • Hi there!

I have kidney pancreas for 1,5 years.

I eat a special diet, which boosts my immune system. I feel good. I need little meds.

No steroids. Advagraf 2,5mg and 700 Myfortic per day.

You will be just fine in a few weeks. It takes about a year until your belly is less bloated.

    Best luck and health♥

  • I'm 27 too :)

  • Greetings and Welcome to Transplants Friends, Heather.
