Share how your transplant experience changed your life?

I value every moment of life in a way I did not before. I have had a transplant for almost half of my life, and I have had kidney disease for over 35 years so it is hard to remember how it was before.

Share whatever information you want us to know about you

My 1st transplant began failing in 2007 and I went back on dialysis full time on January 1, 2013. I stopped working in 2009. I was on the national transplant list for ~ 5 years before getting my 2nd transplant at Johns Hopkins. I had 4 positive antibodies to my 2nd kidney donor and had to undergo intense desensitization at JHH. I am happy to still be here!
