Well I am obviously happy to be alive but I have had a lot of problems after it. I had tremors so bad I had life alert for a while, I didn't know when they would happen at first but then I could feel them come on. I would try to get to a safe place and let the tremors do their thing then I would go on. Miracles do happen because they completely when the away Dr. was really surprised. I have neuropathy really bad. I have problems being constantly tired or I get this big boost of energy and do the things I did before heart problems but then I get really tired and end up having to rest for several days. I try to pace my energy but it's hard. I am doing better but still need self control. I get depressed at times because I can't do things I use to do but I just deal with it. I am not use to letting people do things for me that I feel I should be able to do. I have recently received notice from long term disability about my case. Of course my cardiologist has to tell them my new heart is doing fine but it's all the other things that make it impossible to hold a job. Some days I don't have the energy to get up. Does anyone else have this problem.

I guess on the above on my transplant experience I told you most of my info but in short. I wanted to be a Marine in 1981 I passed all tests and flunked the chest x-ray. They said there was a mass in the middle of my chest. I then went to Lafayette Home Hospital (the name in the 80 's). I was then put into exploratory surgery and the found my spleen was cancerous. It was removed and then I was given chemotherapy and radiation. It took over a year, and then it returned. I was then transfer to Indiana University Hospital. Was given chemotherapy by a oncologist by the name of Dr.Lawrence Einhorn. He gave me his chemotherapy regime for six weeks. After that it was gone. I have been in remission since 1983. In 2005 I had a double bypass and all was well till 2014. I started having heart troubles, ejection fraction was going down and I was getting weaker every day. Come to find out that the radiation and a drug called adriomyican caused too much damage and the only way to fix it was with a transplant. And here I today living and breathing but it's just not the same. I am happy to be alive and shouldn't complain which I am not I am telling a story. I thought everything would be normal after that I was only 53 when this happened.

I love woodworking, I have been working on putting my shop together for almost a year because it costs money and on Social Security Disability not a lot of money left over. Working with my hands is my thing, I was a repair man for almost 30yrs. I still tinker with appliances for friends and family.
