  • Someone asked me a question about Prograf side effects and I don't know how to respond to her directly, so here it is:

Q:  How long did it take me to notice the tremor after I started taking Prograf?

    A:

    Hi Janice!
I noticed the termors within a few months, but they really became an issue after an incompetent elderly doctor (sorry) kept telling me he wanted me to be on "more" Prograf and kept increasing my dose.  I actually became toxic on Prograf to the extent that it damaged my kidney and I ended up in the hospital for over two weeks.  I still take Prograf, 3 mg in the morning, and 4 at bedtime with only a slight tremor.  It gets worse if I am stressed or tired.
All in all, I am a happy camper!  Best wishes to you and yours!  Shelly
