Share - which illness led up to you needing a transplant?

I had a bad car wreck at the age of 18 which damaged my pancreas. I became a severe diabetic in which I was in and out of the hospital for almost 10 years. I had lost the sensation of hypoglycemia. I couldn't drive, sleep alone, etc. After almost dying many times, I had to seek treatment. I was told by endocrinologist that I was the worst they had every seen.


Which Organ(s) did you receive? If you are on the waiting list, please share.

Pancreas


Drugs, vitamins, favorite foods

Prograf, Mycophenolic Acid, Aspirin, Prozac, Multi Vitamin, Vitamin D, sometimes Magnesium and Potassium, Prednisone and Ambien


How many years have you had your Transplant for?

I love to sing, play drums, play piano... I love to photograph.... not knowing if I would live or die, I wanted to give my mother something to hold onto from me. My photos bear my soul...
