Close up of temporary gastric stimulator

Close up of temporary gastric stimulator which has leads attached to the stomach wall and coming out through my g-tube site. This is the temporary stimulator which is used if a person is more likely to have the temporary stimulator for a long time. I am holding my g-tube in my hand and if you look you can see part of the leads coming out vertically from the stoma. The gastric stimulator is kept in the plastic bag which I can hook on clothing so that nothing pulls on the leads. Below my g-tube you can see a rectangular piece of gauze, and it is this which is covering the j-tube site which still has not healed. The shirt I am wearing is a reminder to me that I would not be here to try out this technology if not for my transplant.
